Alan Masarek is President and CEO of Avaya, a multinational technology company that provides cloud communications and workstream collaboration services. Mr. Masarek has over 30 years of experience in communications, information technology, and business services companies. He previously served as CEO of Vonage, a provider of cloud-based communications to businesses and consumers. Mr. Masarek came to Vonage from Google, Inc., where he was Director, Chrome & Apps, following the acquisition of his prior company, Quickoffice, Inc. Mr. Masarek was Co-founder and CEO of Quickoffice, Inc., one of the world’s most widely recognized mobile brands. Under his leadership, Quickoffice became one of the world’s most embedded mobile productivity software solutions, engaging more than 26 million registered users at the time of Google’s purchase.
Mr. Masarek currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Markforged, Inc., SalesIntel, Inc., and CircleBack, Inc. He also serves as a board member of Wejo.
Community Service
He is also a philanthropist and volunteer who supports underrepresented populations and battered women and their children. Mr. Masarek established and funds the Emergency Student Scholarship fund at the AVÌìÌÃÍø to support students in dire need of tuition assistance. He is a mentor to several University students and serves as a regular guest speaker with the Pompea College of Business. The Masareks are both volunteer counselors for The Hole in the Wall Gang camp for children with serios illnesses. They also serve as co-chairs for the EmpowerHouse Project, a safe house at The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport intended to protect victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, which was funded by their philanthropic gift.

Mr. Masarek earned his MBA, with Distinction, from Harvard Business School and his BBA, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia.

He and his wife Patti reside in Milford, CT.
